Horse & pony portraits from your photographs.

I live in New Milton on the edge of the New Forest in the south of England. I am married with 2 beautiful daughters, have 3 cats and a horse, which I am still waiting to have time to paint!

I am a mainly self taught artist and have enjoyed art in general and painting from an early age. I have recently exhibited in the south – including the Red House Museum, Christchurch and The Best of Hampshire exhibition at The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey.

Although I specialise in Equine portraits I enjoy different techniques and styles in other subjects if ever time allows! Examples of these can be seen on my Other Art work page. However I take most of my enjoyment from painting the horses and ponies. You always paint best the subject you love!

Living in the beautiful New Forest, I have years of experience with horses and as an artist this enables me to bring together the two things I love, creating beautiful and lasting paintings of your horse or pony to cherish forever.

I paint in top quality acrylics and work from your photographs, which can be sent via email or post. I also like to know a bit about the character of each animal I paint, as this helps to capture the feel of individuals. They are all so different as we know. From cheeky to sweet loving companions I hope to capture all this in your painting for you to cherish. I will happily come and visit your horse to meet and photo if you are local.
